Each semester the Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies Department offers sections of Writing and Inquiry in Academic Contexts (UWRT 1104) with an International focus. The curriculum is the same as any other first-year (UWRT) writing class, but is designed for multilingual students, international students, and anyone interested in how to communicate in a world of global English. The class size is smaller than a typical UWRT class, is taught by specially trained faculty, and often has a writing mentor who is available for one-on-one writing sessions for any student who is interested.
A permit is required to enroll in the course. If you are interested in enrolling in this course, or have questions about whether this is the right choice for you, please send an email to First-Year Writing with your name and your UNC Charlotte ID number.
