International Section of 1104

International Sections of UWRT 1104

Each semester the First-Year Writing Program offers two sections of Writing and Inquiry in Academic Contexts (UWRT 1104) with an International focus. The curriculum is the same as any other first-year writing class, but the class is designed specifically for multilingual students, international students, and anyone interested in how to communicate in a world of global English. The class size is smaller than a typical UWRT class, is taught by specially trained faculty, and has a writing mentor who is available for one-on-one writing sessions for any student who is interested. If you are interested in enrolling in this course, please send an email to firstyearwrting@uncc.edu.
